This gorgeous new necklace was created after finding a wonderfully inspiring photograph. The photograph was taken by an award winning deep sea photographer David Henshaw of Digital Diving. You can see this inspiring photograph here.
As soon as i saw this beautiful moment capture with such amazing photography skills i knew i had to try and capture the moment in a piece of recycled silver!
A sterling silver Victorian One Tenth of a Pound coin is used. I have flattened the coin and carefully sketched the loving pair on to the flattened surface. This basic outline, guide sketch is then embellished and brought to life using a traditional piercing saw.
The surface of the coin is covered in its original coin details which add to the interest and depth of the seahorses. This is added to with the help of a small hammer and chisel. Each necklace i create is individually hand cut from 100% recycled sterling silver.
