This lovely necklace has been created from a single sterling silver 1887 half-crown coin. Each and every one i make is made from a coin of the same sterling silver quality and age. These coins are ace to use as the silver has a unmistakable feel and texture. The age and history of the silver is also great. Its wonderful to think that the necklace or item of jewellery you are wearing was once a silver coin, used over one hundred years ago, in various transactions, etc.
The coin is carefully flattened out into a workable sheet of silver. It is then meticulously cut into the desired form, then filed and polished.
The finished piece is than joined to a lovely sterling silver chain. Each one, completely unique and special.
