This lovely spiral hand 'handmade' brooch is recycled from an old English dessert spoon. Each one is completely unique, recycled and totally handcrafted using only traditional hand tools.

 

The simple but striking design is drawn onto the spoon, then delicately traced with the piercing saw. It is then filed, soldered with safety brooch fitting and finally satin polished.

 

The 'donor' spoon is included and forms part of the overall piece. When not being worn the spiral hand neatly 'slots' back into the spoon to form a single piece of decorative table art.
