A beautiful and simple brooch hand pierced from the 'bowl' of an old, negelected antique dessert spoon.The gorgeous little fairy is sketched on the spoon and then cut, drilled, filed and polished. The final result is quite lovely. The brooch has a simple and effective locking catch on the reverse.

 

For added interest the wearer is presented with the spoon the brooch was recycled from. This is a wonderfully interesting object in its own right! It also works fabulously as a little nest / home for the brooch when it is not being worn.
